Helicopter Flight Training

At most schools it takes about 9 months to complete your helicopter flight training as a full-time student, and the time for completion as a part-time student depends on how much time you can spend flying and studying.

After graduation you can choose to work either for the government or for private businesses or individuals. Most helicopter pilots work in such industries as news gathering, traffic monitoring, search and rescue, emergency medical transport, pipeline inspection, construction, TV production, fire fighting or in corporate and travel charters.
